Randy Orton has insisted he is not “hot” after Tom Brady referred to WWE as “cute.”
The comment surfaced during a light-hearted exchange, sparking debate among wrestling fans about how the veteran superstar would react.
Orton, however, made it clear that his perspective has changed at this stage of his career. His response blended humour with reflection.

Randy Orton reacts to Tom Brady calling WWE cute
Speaking in comments shared by The Pat McAfee Show, Randy Orton said: “The thing with the cute line, I’m just having fun at this stage of my career, especially after the injuries and spinal fusion. There’s no one on the roster that I’m aware of, who has had a lower lumbar fusion, let alone a double fusion.
“.. I’m doing this longer than anybody, I feel so grateful to be around. So, hearing him call it cute, I’m just having fun,” Orton added.
Orton referenced the serious back procedures that once cast doubt over his future in the ring. Having returned from a double spinal fusion, he framed Brady’s remark as harmless rather than disrespectful.
Randy Orton says he would have reacted differently 20 years ago
Randy Orton continued: “If this were 20 years ago, I would have been hot. … But Tom, if you want to take an RKO? Call Pat, Pat’ll call me.”
The comment highlighted the difference between the younger version of Orton and the veteran now approaching the latter stages of his career.
While he once might have taken issue, he now views the exchange through a more relaxed lens.
The playful RKO invitation ensured the moment stayed rooted in entertainment rather than tension. For Orton, longevity and perspective have replaced ego.
In his words, he is simply enjoying the ride.
