Is Liverpool vs Wolves on TV? Many fans have wondered ahead of Wednesday’s Premier League encounter at Anfield.

Sadly for those keen to watch the game between Jürgen Klopp and Julen Lopetegui’s sides, it will not be broadcast in the United Kingdom, but why?

It is a midweek fixture – which are usually shown by Sky Sports or Amazon Prime – leaving many confused as to why it isn’t on the schedule.

So, let’s take a look at the reason behind it not being on TV in the UK.

Why Liverpool vs Wolves is not on TV

Well, Liverpool and Wolves find themselves in the same situation as Arsenal and Everton – who also play in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Neither of these games will be shown on TV in the UK purely due to the fact they are rearranged fixtures, and the original dates were not selected to be broadcast by Sky Sports or any other English station.

Liverpool were due to welcome Wolves to Anfield back on Saturday 10th September, although the death of Queen Elizabeth II saw all Premier League fixtures postponed for that weekend.

That initial clash on Saturday 10th September was not going to be televised in the UK, so therefore, the rearranged fixture cannot be shown as the original scheduling must be adhered to.

While the likes of Sky Sports would surely love to broadcast Wednesday’s game at Anfield, they are unable to.

It is the exact same situation that fans of Manchester United and Leeds found themselves in recently.

The 2-2 draw between the Red Devils and the Whites at Old Trafford on Wednesday 8th February was also a rescheduled game following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, and with the original game not on TV in the UK, the rearrangement couldn’t be broadcast.

Manchester United explained the situation on their official website.

If Wolves enjoy a repeat of their recent 3-0 win over the Reds, then Liverpool fans presumably won’t be too bothered about missing out on the game.
