Former NFL star Emmanuel Acho has dropped a bombshell take on Caitlin Clark.
Since getting drafted to the WNBA, Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has played a crucial role in the league’s massive popularity.
Of course, it’s majorly because of her skills on the court, but this season, Clark is finding herself being roped into controversies more often than not.
This includes, when Phoenix Mercury star Alyssa Thomas quite literally put a fist on Fever star’s neck. But still, Clark became a villain for many, and it seems Emmanuel Acho is among them.

Emmanuel Acho drops ‘dumbest smart take’ on Caitlin Clark
On an episode of the Speakeasy podcast, Acho shared one of the most controversial takes on Clark so far in her career.
“This is the dumbest smart take you’re ever going to hear. … The W at this junction in time would be better without Caitlin Clark because she is a bigger distraction than she is an additive,”Acho said.
He added, “Caitlin Clark has gotten the WNBA over the necessary threshold they needed. Now people are watching. Now we realize, ‘Oh, there’s talent in the W.’
“Talent that’s actually even greater than Caitlin Clark,” Acho continued. “And I’m not just talking about bigs like A’ja. I’m talking about the Olivia Miles, I’m talking about the Paige Bueckers.”
Essentially, Acho is thanking Clark for bringing more fans to a league that was struggling for viewership for the majority of its existence, and now, wants her to sidestep? This is atrocious, but Acho wasn’t done yet.
Emmanuel Acho continues his absurd take on Caitlin Clark
At just 24 years old, Clark is yet to even enter the prime of her career, but Acho’s terrible take suggests that the WNBA can no longer benefit more from her presence.
“Caitlin Clark has gotten the WNBA players past the proverbial Red Sea. Chartered planes, new CBA, new max contracts. With all due respect, if Caitlin disappeared from the W, she wouldn’t be missed,” he continued.
“… You’re getting general managers fired, head coaches fired, commissioners fired, social media teams fired, all because we have to coddle and cradle this woman. Respectfully, the league has gotten the necessary juice out of the squeeze,” Acho stated.
Since Clark is viewed as the Michael Jordan of the WNBA, imagine if the NBA had driven out the Chicago Bulls star in Year 3 of his career? Would the NBA become as great as it is today? Never.
