The name DIDE has swept through English football this week as thousands wonder who the Premier League’s secret rapper is – many believe he plays for Arsenal.
A masked figure is claiming to be a professional footballer in England’s top-flight as well as a rap star, with his latest track, titled Thrill, already racking up over 600,000 views on YouTube.

Well – if you analyse the lyrics to Thrill – there are a couple of hints that could suggest DIDE plays for Arsenal.
It is almost as if DIDE himself is trying to tell people that he has left clues within the lyrics to Thrill, as he states he is “spitting a message in his own flow” while also mentioning that “there’s meaning in my style and my bars”.
So, let’s dissect the words – both clues can be found in the second verse.
Firstly, DIDE mentions that his “team stay winning” – no side has won more games in the Premier League this season than Arsenal’s 23 victories, so that is a strong hint pointing towards the Emirates Stadium.
Secondly, Thrill contains the line “every single game like a final” – which is arguably the most common footballing cliche around when it comes to a title race, something Arsenal find themselves firmly embroiled in.
Aside from the lyrics, there is more to suggest that DIDE plays for Arsenal.
The music video for Thrill is set in London, for one.
Furthermore, the BBC asked an artificial intelligence (AI) researcher to examine the song, with their system determining that they are “between 80-98% confident” of DIDE being Arsenal No.14 Eddie Nketiah.
