Why is the Arsenal game not on TV? This is set to become a frequently asked question amongst supporters over the next month.

Arsenal fans will be angered to hear that none of their next three Premier League games will be televised in the United Kingdom as Mikel Arteta’s side enter a crucial stage in the title race.

So, why will Arsenal’s next three Premier League games not be televised in the UK? Let’s take a look…

Why Arsenal’s next three Premier League games will not be on TV in the UK

Well, Arsenal take on Leicester, Everton and Bournemouth in their next three Premier League games.

However, the meetings with Leicester and Bournemouth are 3pm kickoffs, which fall under the United Kingdom’s 3pm blackout rule where no matches televised at that time can be shown on TV.

Arsenal’s clash with Everton is a midweek fixture falling on Wednesday 1st March, so fans will have at least expected to be able to watch that game.

However, it was not selected by Sky Sports, BT Sport or Amazon Prime as part of their broadcasting schedules, so there is no way for fans in the United Kingdom to watch.

Arsenal fans pay good money for Sky Sports and BT Sport packages, so it will surely enrage thousands to hear this news – and rightly so.

To make matters worse for football fans in the UK, those in other countries have full coverage of the Premier League.

Viewers in the United States, India and Singapore – to name a few – get to have their pick of the action on a weekly basis, although supporters in England are often forced to go without.

It is a bizarre scenario for the Premier League leaders to not be on TV across their next three games.

Arsenal fans will be even more annoyed to learn that Manchester City’s next three Premier League games will be shown on TV in the United Kingdom.

With ticket prices rising as well as TV subscription costs, supporters in England deserve better coverage.
