Well, the Molde prodigy is making a real name for himself in the Eliteserien.
Mannsverk is far from a Frank Lampard-type goalscorer, but more of a deep-lying playmaker in the style of Frenkie de Jong, someone who can combine strong tackling with clean passing.
The 20-year-old has scored just one goal in 30 appearances for Molde so far this season, picking up eight yellow cards along the way as he shows he isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, Bologna, Brighton, Aston Villa were all keen to sign Mannsverk back in 2021.
Calciomercato added that Everton and Inter Milan were also interested.
When told about the interest, Mannsverk said: “Fortunately, I have people around who allow me to focus on other things. I’m from a small place, and do not like to talk myself so loudly. When people call me (to express an interest), I appreciate it, but now there has been a lot of talk about rumours.”
Clearly, the Molde prodigy is a humble figure, and also a leader – he was captain at his previous club, Sogndal.
Mannsverk has represented Norway at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-20 and Under-21 level, but is yet to make a senior debut for his country.
In his career so far, the midfield maestro has won the Eliteserien and also the Norwegian Cup.
