Chelsea deny reports of Liverpool agreement for Yan Diomande amid transfer links
Rumours suggesting Yan Diomande has reached an agreement to join Liverpool have been shot down by a source close to the player, who also shared what’s currently on his mind.
Both clubs are reportedly keen on the midfielder following his standout season at RB Leipzig. Reports even suggested that Diomande had come to terms with Liverpool, but those claims appear wide of the mark according to sources close to the player.

But a source close to Diomande has told them there is no truth to those claims.
Chelsea fans will be glad to hear that, especially after missing out on Jeremy Jacquet. But if they do want Diomande, Leipzig aren’t going to make it cheap.
According to Christian Falk via CF Bayern Insider, the German club have set their asking price at £87m for the Ivorian forward.

Leipzig had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Niko Kovac’s side, but Diomande still stood out with a strong individual showing.
The winger set up one of Leipzig’s goals and created two clear chances, according to Sofascore. He also completed three out of four dribbles and made nine progressive carries.
Dortmund struggled to contain him throughout the match, which is exactly why clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool are keeping such a close eye on him.
Diomande will be playing for Ivory Coast at the World Cup this summer, so any move will likely have to wait until their tournament is finished.
