Jamie O’Hara has absolutely torn into Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy over his repeated failure to hire a new manager.
It has been two months since Spurs sacked Jose Mourinho and the Lilywhites are now back to square one after talks with Paulo Fonseca broke down on Thursday.
TMW reported in Italy that Gennaro Gattuso was set to join Tottenham immediately after the Fonseca bombshell, but Levy reportedly cancelled that idea after huge opposition from the fanbase.
Remember, the North Londoners have also tried and fail to appoint Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte this month after widespread reports that both were close to getting the job at various points.
It’s all a bit of a circus and former Tottenham midfielder O’Hara has labelled the whole an ‘absolute embarrassment’ and claimed that Levy has ‘zero clue’ what he is doing.
Ten Hag lifeline
There was some hope on Friday when ESPN reported that Levy was still interested in hiring Erik Ten Hag of Ajax – and the supporters’ response to that rumour on Twitter suggested it would go down well.
But O’Hara is right, turning to Gattuso stank of desperation from Tottenham and it was just another example of how rudderless Spurs are right now.
