Rangers striker Fashion Sakala has been photographed meeting the President of Zambia with the UN’s COP26 conference taking place in Glasgow.

Posting on his official Twitter account, the Zambian international met with President Hakainde Hichilema, who is in Scotland as part the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

Leaders from around the world have gathered in Scotland to discuss the urgent issues of climate change. And Sakala has the conference as a chance to meet the President of Zambia.

The £430k-a-year striker exploded into life over the weekend as Sakala bagged a hat-trick for Rangers in their 6-1 win over Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.

Sakala’s time in Glasgow has taken some time to get off the ground, but after scoring a hat-trick over the weekend, the Zambia international could well have found his form for Rangers.

The striker could be a key player for Steven Gerrard’s side this season. Yet away from the pitch, Sakala continues to become a fan favourite with the striker now meeting the President of Zambia.
