Manchester United fans did not hold back their opinions on Benjamin Sesko following his Premier League debut against Arsenal at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim was back in the Old Trafford dugout on Sunday to kick off the 2025-26 Premier League season, with pre-season now wrapped up.
Across July and August, Manchester United covered plenty of ground across Europe and the US as part of their pre-season schedule.
Their summer tour wrapped up last weekend with a penalty shootout win over Fiorentina at Old Trafford, finishing 5-4 ahead of the new campaign.
United’s fixture list for the 2025-26 season came out in June, showing early tests against Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea within the first five matches.
Sesko featured against Arsenal during the opening weekend of the new Premier League season, with his performance drawing plenty of attention from Manchester United supporters.

Benjamin Sesko debuted off the bench, after Ruben Amorim’s initial use of Mason Mount as a false nine.
He had just completed his move from RB Leipzig earlier that week, and the Portuguese coach chose to keep him out of the starting XI.
But fans were quick to point out how little service Sesko received during his time on the pitch. Many wondered why he had not started, given what they’d seen from him at Leipzig.
One supporter posted: “Give Sesko a chance, someone create for him.”
Another added: “If we had started Sesko, this would’ve been a different story.”
A third fan simply tweeted: “Please create a chance for Sesko.”
“Sesko has had like [five] touches since coming on… cross the damn ball, guys,” a fourth supporter has urged.
How did Man United fare against Arsenal in the Premier League opener?
United started strong but were stunned when Arsenal broke the deadlock at Old Trafford.
A set-piece exposed the Red Devils, with Altay Bayindir under pressure from William Saliba, causing the United player to mishandle the ball, which gave Riccardo Calafiori the opportunity to score in the 13th minute.
After half-time, Amorim’s side took control of possession and pressed for the equaliser with 12 shots, but they could not change the score.
Looking ahead, United’s first away trip of this Premier League season is scheduled for 24 August when they head to Craven Cottage to take on Fulham.
