Giannis Antetokounmpo’s blockbuster trade to the Miami Heat is now official.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will begin a new chapter in his career after giving the last 13 seasons to the Milwaukee Bucks.

With the Bucks, the Greek Freak won several accolades, including the 2021 NBA Championship, 2021 NBA Finals MVP, and 2019 & 2020 NBA MVPs.

Now, Antetokounmpo is turning a new chapter in his career, and he will do so with a brand new jersey number.

For the entirety of his NBA career, Antetokounmpo has repped the #34 jersey with the Bucks. However, during a recent livestream with N3on, the 2x NBA MVP revealed he will now don a new jersey.

After Giannis confirmed that he wants to change his jersey number this season, N3on suggested #7 as an option, and the Heat superstar instantly agreed to it.

“That’s not a bad number. I might take that. You want me to? Okay, #7 it is,” Antetokounmpo said.

Previously, Antetokounmpo was supposed to wear #34 with the Heat, the number last worn by NBA legend Ray Allen for the franchise.

However, the Greek Freak seems adamant on creating a fresh legacy with the Heat, and changing his jersey number is the first step toward it.
