Speculation about Declan Rice to Arsenal isn’t going away.
Okay so the Gunners won’t be bringing the West Ham United midfielder to North London this month.
But according to Sky Sports this week, Arsenal will be in for the England international this summer, regardless of whether they succeed at luring Moises Caicedo to the Emirates.
And bringing in Rice could be one heck of a bargain.
Yes, Mikel Arteta and Edu will have to spend massively to win the race for Rice in any case, but he could still be a bargain.
That’s because according to The Telegraph in 2022, West Ham valued the former Chelsea youth at £150 million.

And Give Me Sport claimed earlier this month that David Moyes would sell up for £80 million.
That means Arsenal could get the player for £70 million less than what he was worth only last year and that, if it materialises, could be a stunning piece of business.
Jude Bellingham gets a lot of acclaim – and rightly so – but let’s not forget that Rice himself is only 24 and has a glittering future ahead of him.
Given how players are excelling under Arteta – whom Rice wants to play for [Guardian] – there’s every chance that the Hammers star could be worth an absolute fortune over the coming years, if he improves at Arsenal.
And therefore even if £80 million has to be shelled out, well it could still be a wonderful piece of business.
