Chelsea have been very unpredictable this season, following up a shock defeat to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup with a 1-0 win over rivals Fulham yesterday.
They’ve relied heavily on Cole Palmer for goals and have been offered the chance to sign several strikers this month.
While immediate solutions are needed at Chelsea in January, they still have one eye on the future and Estevao is another player being considered by the club.
The teenager only has a single senior club appearance to his name but his record at youth level for club and country is exceptional.
Who is Estevao Willian?
Brazil is potentially the country best known for producing amazing young footballers.
Players aren’t allowed to move to Europe until they turn 18, meaning over the years there’s been growing expectation on plenty of teenagers who have already agreed moves but are stuck at their current clubs.
Estevao Willian could be the latest player to suffer that fate if Chelsea sign him this January.
Estevao – also known as Messinho – is only 16 but has already played in both Cruzeiro and Palmeiras’s academies.
Primarily a right winger, Estevao has scored six goals in 17 appearances for Palmeiras’s Under-20 side.
He also starred at the Under-17 World Cup for Brazil, scoring three goals in five games and recording a hat-trick of assists against New Caledonia.
Estevao is capable of incredible moments in games and his flair would be a welcome change to what Chelsea fans have watched up to January this season.
He’s got a fantastic eye for a pass as well as the ability to beat a defender and could be a star for years to come.
