Jamal Musiala has been linked with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, and his performance for Germany against Costa Rica at the 2022 Qatar World Cup on Thursday evening impressed former Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri, which is interesting because the Gunners wanted to sign the Bayern Munich star back when he was just nine.
Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg reported in October 2022 that that Liverpool are interested in signing Musiala as a back-up if they are unable to bring in England international midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023.
Musiala, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, joined Bayern in 2019 after leaving London club Chelsea.
Earlier this week, The Telegraph reported that Arsenal wanted to sign up the youngster when he was nine years of age.
The Gunners were reportedly impressed by the potential shown by Musiala and tried to sign him.
Musiala signed for Chelsea instead.
The youngster was in action for Germany against Costa Rica in their Group E match at the 2022 Qatar World Cup on Thursday evening.

Germany won 4-2 win against Costa Rica, but still failed to progress to the Round of 16.
Musiala was superb for his Germany team, as he drove the team forward, went close to scoring himself with a wonderful run, and was a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the park.
It was a very fine performance from one of the best young talents in world football.
And former Arsenal midfielder Nasri was impressed, as you can see from his tweet below.
