According to Florian Plettenburg, Liverpool are interested in signing Jamal Musiala – who was let go by Chelsea.
Liverpool want old Chelsea starlet Jamal Musiala
Well, Chelsea watched the £82,000-a-week wonderkid leave Cobham for Bayern Munich in 2019, and the Blues surely live to regret allowing that to happen.
Musiala has become one of the best players in Europe already at the Allianz Arena, scoring seven goals in 11 appearances so far this season, while also providing five assists.
The 19-year-old has also won 17 caps for Germany, and seems certain to start at the World Cup in November.
Now, it has been revealed that Liverpool are admirers of Musiala.
As you can see below, Plettenburg – a journalist for Sky Sports – confirms the Reds are interested, although he concedes that a move to Anfield is unlikely to happen at this stage as Bayern Munich deem him not for sale.
The teenager is contracted to Bayern Munich until 2026, so Liverpool may have to be patient.
With hopes of signing Jude Bellingham as well – according to The Athletic – Liverpool are certainly aiming high as they aim to hoover up the best youngsters on the planet.
Musiala could be another Salah for Liverpool after Chelsea exit
Starring at Liverpool after leaving Chelsea? That sounds familiar.
Of course, Mohamed Salah arrived at Anfield just one year after leaving Chelsea for Roma, and the Egypt international has since embarrassed the Blues by going on to score 160 goals in 264 games for the Reds.

The 30-year-old has also fired Liverpool to the Premier League title, the Champions League, the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup since Jürgen Klopp signed him.
If Liverpool did somehow manage to get their hands on Musiala, we’re confident he would go on to achieve similar success on Merseyside, given his immense talent.
