Trevor Sinclair has praised Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on Twitter for his comments about racism after the match against Liverpool at Elland Road.
Leeds played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Bamford played for the West Yorkshire club, and after the game, he spoke to Sky Sports.
The 27-year-old gave his take on the European Super League, and the former Chelsea and Nottingham Forest striker pointed out that there is not so much uproar about issues such as racism.
Former Manchester City winger Sinclair was cheering for Leeds against Liverpool last night, and he was impressed by Bamford’s comments on racism after the game.
The European Super League has met with fierce opposition, and it remains to be seen if it goes ahead.
Perhaps the Founding Clubs of the European Super League, which include Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid, will come to an agreement with UEFA, FIFA and the respective domestic leagues and a deal will be struck.
As for issues regarding racism in football, one can only hope that the situation become better soon.
