Tim Sherwood has criticised Liverpool duo Ozan Kabak and Fabinho on Premier League Productions for the goal that Leeds United scored at Elland Road.

Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Sadio Mane put the defending champions in the lead in the 31st minute, and Fernando Llorente scored the equaliser in the 87th minute.

The Spain international central defender’s goal came from a corner, and former Tottenham Hotspur manager Sherwood believes that centre-backs Kabak and Fabinho should have done better.

Sherwood said on Premier League Productions: “When you are lacking in size, you cannot let someone have a run on you, like Llorente, he has one, two, three, up he goes, over the back of Kabak, nearly takes him into the back of the net. Fabinho and Kabak are not brave enough.”

Disappointing result

Leeds are hard to play against, and the Whites did well against Liverpool to pick up a point from the encounter.

The Reds will be disappointed not to win, especially as they took the lead at Elland Road.

The result is a further blow to Liverpool’s chances of finishing in the Premier League top four.

However, if the European Super League goes ahead, then the Reds are unlikely to bother about their league finish this season as they will not play in the Champions League.
