Radja Nainggolan has labelled Ivan Perisic as a ‘great player’ on Instagram after he signed for Tottenham Hotspur from Inter Milan on Tuesday.
Before Spurs could confirm that Perisic has signed on the dotted line with the English Premier League side, the versatile winger had thanked those at Inter for everything they had done for him.
Perisic enjoyed a great seven-year spell with the Serie A giants, including becoming champions of Italy under the stewardship of Antonio Conte last season.
Now, the 33-year-old will be hoping to transform his success from Inter to Tottenham colours, as the north London club make a return to Champions League football.
Nonetheless, Nainggolan, who shared the same pitch as Perisic during their time at Inter, thanked his former teammate for what he had done and labelled him a ‘great player’.
Whilst current Inter right-back, Denzel Dumfries, added ‘thank you so much brother’.
PERISIC A SMART PURCHASE FROM TOTTENHAM
This isn’t the road Daniel Levy usually goes down, but Conte is getting what he wants with the signing of Perisic – their first big hit of the summer transfer window.
It’s perhaps a sign of what is to come during these coming months because Conte has always liked to work with experienced and older players.
Perisic will provide experience and added value in bucket loads, it’s not just a case of what he will deliver on the pitch, but what the Croatian star will do off it.
His international teammate and recent Champions League winner, Luka Modric, gave a thumbs up to his transfer, so that’s another individual happy with this move.
