‘We’ve lost’, ‘Not again’: Some Arsenal fans rage over who will take charge of NLD this weekend

Arsenal have discovered that Craig Pawson will referee this weekend’s huge Premier League clash against Tottenham.

The league confirmed on their official website that the Sheffield official will take charge of Sunday’s main event. Arsenal will head into the game following a 1-0 win against Burnley, whilst Spurs were thumped 3-0 against Chelsea.

It could be a defining game for Arsenal in the league against Tottenham, yet their experience with referee Pawson last season was hardly anything positive.

Pawson was the main official for the Gunners last season in their infamous defeat to Wolves, where David Luiz was sent off and conceded a penalty for one of the lightest tackles any player could have done.

Indeed, the 42-year-old referee was also in charge when Arsenal were denied a clear red card against Liverpool last season. With Tottenham also having some unusual decisions go there against them with Pawson the main man on the pitch.

Given some of Pawson’s decisions over the past two seasons, Arsenal fans on social media that the Premier League official will referee this weekend’s huge clash against Tottenham.

With Granit Xhaka due to the return and the tense nature of the fixture in general, Arsenal and Tottenham could be in for an eventful day with Pawson.
