Manchester City gave Leeds a night to forget as the Premier League giants inflicted a league-record loss for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. Yet Arsenal fans are already fearing what is to come on Saturday.
The Yorkshire giants were demolished 7-0 in the joint-biggest result of the season, with City taking Leeds to the cleaners and putting more pressure on the Whites with the club lurking around the relegation zone.
Indeed, things look bleak for Leeds after their damming result against City. And with Arsenal coming up next, their Premier League problems could worsen if Mikel Arteta’s side put further misery on Bielsa’s side.
After such a loss, you would expect Arsenal fans to be confident heading into Saturday’s clash at Elland Road. However, the feeling is the exact opposite amongst most supporters on social media.
Arsenal have seen a similar situation already this season. Heading to Goodison Park earlier in the month, Everton were on a winless run that extended as far back as September. However, the Toffees managed to pull off a late 2-1 win against the Gunners.
With Arsenal experiencing similar results in their recent Premier League history, another famous example being their 4-0 loss to Southampton, you can understand why fans on social media ae fearing that Leeds will spark an incredible performance after their 7-0 loss to City.
Arsenal fans fear fightback from Leeds after City loss

Indeed, there is every possible chance that Arsenal won’t bottle their trip to Elland Road. But on paper, it would be typical of the north London side to drop points against a Leeds side who last night were slapped 7-0 by City.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say on Twitter about the historic result…
