West Ham United are said to have had offers of up to £8m rejected by Bournemouth in January.
West Ham United’s chances of signing Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter are looking increasingly good, with the Cherries said to have identified a replacement for the 28-year-old.
It is claimed West Ham had offers of £5 million [Sun] and £8 million [Sun] rejected by Bournemouth in January, with Arter reportedly informed he would not be allowed to leave until the summer.
And according to the Daily Mirror [February 28th, page 50], his exit could be facilitated by the signing of Lokomotiv Moscow’s Anton Miranchuk, who Bournemouth are said to have identified for Arter’s role.
The report claims Miranchuk, a twice-capped Russia international, has a release clause of £6 million – which could allow Bournemouth to turn a profit if West Ham return with an Arter offer similar to their last.
The Ireland international is one of several midfielders linked with moves to the London Stadium last month, another of whom, Stoke City’s Joe Allen, may also be available in the summer.
According to the Daily Mirror [February 28th, page 50], Stoke face a fight to hold on to the Wales international if they are relegated from the Premier League.
