The West Ham goalkeeper would be a good addition to the Crystal Palace squad.
West Ham goalkeeper Adrian vented his frustration of not getting regular games at the club and dropped a major hint that he wants out of the London Stadium in January.
The 30-year-old joined the Hammers in 2013, and has made 106 Premier League appearances for the London club. However, he lost his starting place to Joe Hart this season.
The Spanish keeper told Radio Marca that he wants to assess his options in January and wants to play for a club where he’ll be guaranteed regular starting berth.
Slaven Bilic, the West Ham manager, said that he understands Adrian’s frustrations, and that it is a positive thing that the player wants to compete for the starting role.
Having said that, Bilic cannot guarantee him regular starting role, and therefore, the club probably will not come in his way, if he decides to move on.
Crystal Palace should make a move for him in the January transfer window. The Eagles were on the lookout for a new keeper last summer, and were linked with a move for Adrian.
Wayne Hennessey has struggled badly for the Eagles this season, and Roy Hodgson needs a good goalkeeper in January.
West Ham felt the money being offered in summer was too low for a player of Adrian’s quality, but surely his stock has dropped now.
Furthermore, Adrian is settled with his family in London, and will grab the opportunity of continuing in the Premier League. The move makes sense to all parties involved.
