Reported Newcastle United and West Ham United transfer target Eden Hazard is being urged to leave Real Madrid, according to Defensa Central.

Both Newcastle and West Ham have been linked with former Chelsea attacking midfielder Hazard.

According to The Sunday Mirror (05/12, p70), Hazard fancies a return to the Premier League, and both West Ham and Everton want to sign the Belgium international.

Sport reported in November interest from Newcastle in securing the services of the 31-year-old, who can operate as a winger or an attacking midfielder.

And now Defensa Central are reporting that Hazard is being urged to leave Madrid at the end of the season.

The former Chelsea star is reportedly ‘sad’ at his situation at Madrid.

Hazard cannot understand why he is not getting playing time under manager Carlo Ancelotti despite being fit and doing the right things.

Newcastle and West Ham should bid for Eden Hazard

In our view, Newcastle and West Ham should make a loan bid for Madrid’s hazard in the January transfer window.

Now, of course, Newcastle are in the Premier League bottom three, and the Belgian is unlikely to entertain a permanent move to St. James’ Park.

However, the chance to help an historic club escape the dreaded drop to the Championship could be a challenge that Hazard could relish.

And he would walk straight into the team.

West Ham are not an ‘elite’ club in European terms, but they could finish in the Premier League top four.

That could be appealing to Hazard, under contract at Madrid until the summer of 2024, for the short term.
