West Ham United are interested in signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

The Sun are reporting this evening that West Ham are considering making a bid for Everton striker Calvert-Lewin this month.

However, the England international striker could cost as much as £60 million for the Hammers.

The report has added that West Ham will not pay £60 million for Calvert-Lewin, but if that changes this month or in the summer of 2022, then the London club ‘will be pushing to the head of the queue’.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin would make West Ham better

In our view, Calvert-Lewin would make West Ham a better and more potent team in attack, not just for now, but also for years to come.

The striker has just come back from injury and is fit and available.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals in six Premier League appearances for Everton so far this season.

Calvert-Lewin scored 16 goals in 32 Premier League starts last season, and scored 13 goals in 39 league starts in 2019-20.

West Ham are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season, and the Everton striker would enhance their chances of doing just that.

Michail Antonio is the only recognised senior striker at West Ham at the moment.
