Gary Neville has responded to Jack Wilshere on Twitter after the former Arsenal midfielder bemoaned the controversial goal that Manchester United have scored against West Ham United today.

Manchester United have got the better of West Ham 1-0 at Old Trafford in the Premier League this afternoon.

Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the match in the third minute of injury time.

Edinson Cavani provided the assist for the attacker.

However, it was controversial.

Cavani collected Anthony Martial’s short pass before rolling a cross to the far post, but it did look like the Uruguayan was in an offside position.

The goal, though, stood.

Former Arsenal and West Ham midfielder Wilshere is not happy at the decision, and ex-Manchester United midfielder Neville has responded to it.

Manchester United – West Ham top-four race

The result means that Manchester United are fourth in the Premier League now with 38 points from 22 matches.

West Ham are fifth with 37 points from 23 matches.

Both the Red Devils and the Hammers are very much in the race for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.

And so are Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

And perhaps even Wolverhampton Wanderers.
