Braga’s promising young striker Vitor Oliveira is attracting interest from West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the January window.

That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, which claims West Ham stand out as the club most interested in Oliveira right now.

However, Tottenham are also named as a club that could swoop in and take Oliveira in 2022.

The report claims it’s simply a ‘matter of time’ until Oliveira leaves Braga, with a move to England possible.

Oliveira, 21, has been with Braga since 2017 and is now in the Portuguese U21 side.

Oliveira has emerged this season having smashed four goals in a 6-0 win over Santa Clara over the weekend.

That came in the Taca de Portugal, so it’s perhaps a little strange he has only made four league appearances this season.

Oliveira does have a goal in that time, bagging the winner against Gil Vicente last month.

Tottenham and West Ham both need strikers in January. Harry Kane and Michail Antonio have little competition at their respective sides, so nets will be cast far and wide.

Perhaps they have seen something in Oliveira to justify making a move, but this one does seem a little strange right now.

Turning 22 in March, Oliveira has barely broken through at Braga yet. Maybe it’s a case of getting in early with Oliveira, but both sets of fans would surely hope for a striker with a better track record right now.
