Tottenham Hotspur came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 on Sunday afternoon – and Ryan Sessegnon will be delighted to have been involved.
Remember Sessegnon? The player tipped to become an absolute star during his time at Fulham?
Well, you’d be be forgiven for maybe forgetting about him having so far failed to live up to that billing.
Tottenham signed Sessegnon for a cool £25million in 2019. Many had tipped Sessegnon for the top, especially after 15 goals for Fulham in the 2017-18 campaign.
Yet in just over two years as a Tottenham player, Sessegnon has only managed seven Premier League outings.
A loan stint at Hoffenheim last season didn’t exactly help Sessegnon, but he may now have a glimmer of hope.
Antonio Conte brought Sessegnon on for Sergio Reguilon with 79 minutes on the clock against Leeds.

Sessegnon helped Tottenham hang on for all three points in a 2-1 win before Conte showed his appreciation.
After the final whistle, Conte gave Sessegnon a huge embrace as he passionately celebrated the win and Sessegnon’s contribution.
The 21-year-old seems to be a great fit for the left wing back role in Conte’s 3-4-3 system.
Having become somewhat forgotten at Tottenham, Sessegnon could finally emerge from the shadows and shine under Conte.
One thing is clear – Conte loved what Sessegnon did on Sunday to help clinch Tottenham’s win.
