David Moyes’ West Ham United have been linked with Salomon Rondon of West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window.

West Ham United could do with a proven goalscorer in the summer transfer window, but the London club should not make the mistake of signing Salomon Rondon from West Bromwich Albion.
According to the Telegraph, the Hammers are keen on securing the services of the 28-year-old this summer, with fans of the London club also recently calling for the outfit to sign the striker, as reported on HITC Sport.

It has been reported that Rondon will be available for £16.5 million should the Baggies get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, but West Ham co-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold should invest that money somewhere else.
While one can understand how hard it must be to score for a West Brom side initially managed by the Tony Pulis and then struggling for survival in the Premier League, the Venezuela international striker’s record is pretty poor.

Eight league goals in 2016-17 and seven so far this season are not exactly the marks of a great striker, and even though £16.5m these days is not a huge lot of money in football, the Hammers could use that to get a better striker, especially as Rondon also has the propensity to miss big chances.
