West Ham United were linked with a move for Everton midfielder Tom Davies in January, but perhaps they should now look at his teammate.

In one of the more surprising transfer rumours of the January transfer window, the Daily Mirror reported that West Ham were interested in a move for Everton midfielder Tom Davies.
Davies is now back in the fold at Goodison Park, so it would appear that David Moyes is unlikely to have any luck trying to make a deal happen without making a ridiculous offer for the youngster in the future.

So perhaps Moyes should switch his attention to one of his Toffees teammates as his own situation continues to baffle Everton supporters after he last appeared for their under-23 side.
Along with Davies, Mason Holgate is one of the more exciting prospects at Everton right now. And despite being a first-team regular previously, the youngster appears to have fallen out of favour recently.

He has not played in any of the Toffees’ last three games and most recently, played for their under-23 in their Premier League Cup clash with Barnsley. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the 21-year-old’s involvement in the game left many fans bemused.
He may have recently had an injury, but given that he was fit enough to make the bench for the trip to Arsenal in the middle of the three games that he has played no part in, it is not that surprising that Everton fans are concerned.
Holgate appears to have the potential to be an extremely impressive defender – he has arguably been a lot better than some of his teammates this term – and West Ham should keep an eye on developments in case his recent absence is a sign that Sam Allardyce is not convinced.
The Hammers already have an exciting core of youngsters in their squad, and adding Holgate to the likes of Declan Rice and Reece Oxford could prove a brilliant move if they decided to have a look at the prospect at the end of the season.
