West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign Cagliari forward, Giovanni Simeone, according to a report.
The Times claim that, in West Ham’s pursuit of a forward this summer, the 26-year-old, who is the son of Atletico Madrid boss, Diego Simeone, has been offered to the London club.
Simeone Jnr scored 17 goals on-loan at Hellas Verona during the 2021/22 campaign – it was the best goalscoring season of his career, topping the 14 he netted during the 17/18 campaign for Fiorentina.

As a result, there is strong interest in the all-action striker from elsewhere, including Europa League-bound Arsenal, who after losing Alexandre Lacazette to Lyon, are chasing that much-needed centre-forward.
Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport did report that Arsenal have moved for the Argentina international, alongside Juventus, on a possible low-cost deal.
Either way, Simeone is a wanted man, as his goals, added with six assists, have put the Madrid-born star back on the map.
Simeone, who has five caps for Argentina to his name, will also be keen to return to the national set-up ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
He last played for his country two years ago and a possible Premier League move, added with strong performances, might see him make a late surge into Lionel Scaloni’s squad.

SIGNING A STRIKER IS A PRIORITY FOR WEST HAM AND ARSENAL
In January, both West Ham and Arsenal failed to bolster their squads, especially in the forward areas, which seemingly cost them Champions League football.
Those at the Emirates, in particular, were leading the charge for fourth spot, only to lose out to Tottenham.
If that striker or extra attacking spice had been added during the winter transfer window, then things might have been a little different.
But, with the summer transfer window officially opened, both West Ham and Arsenal fans will be expecting investment in their forward line.
