West Ham United defender Pablo Zabaleta is reportedly considering retiring from playing at the end of the season.

West Ham appear to be in danger of suffering a major blow, with Spanish outlet Sport reporting that Pablo Zabaleta is considering retiring from playing at the end of the season.
Zabaleta has proved to be a fantastic signing for the Hammers and is enjoying a brilliant spell under Manuel Pellegrini. He has kept Ryan Fredericks out of the team and losing him in the summer would be a big setback.
Replacing him is going to be a tough ask for the Hammers, so West Ham should seriously look at making an ambitious move for Crystal Palace starlet Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Wan-Bissaka has been a huge success for the Eagles since making his senior debut earlier this year and he is now one of the first names on the teamsheet for Roy Hodgson.

The 20-year-old is surely going to be on his way out of Palace within the next few years – even some of their own supporters believe that it is a matter of time before he is playing for one of the heavyweights in the Premier League.
The Daily Mirror recently reported that Manchester City and Everton are both keen, and West Ham should join the pair in the running as they look at life after Zabaleta.

Wan-Bissaka will certainly not come cheap, but the form that he is showing for Palace suggests that he could be worth the eye-watering fee that his current club are likely to demand.
It would undoubtedly be a brilliant way for the Hammers to respond if they do end up losing Zabaleta at the end of the season.
