Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to West Ham United’s controversial first goal against his side being allowed by VAR.

Manuel Lanzini scored the first goal for West Ham in the 34th minute against Leeds at London Stadium on Sunday.

Jarrod Bowen scored the second goal in the third minute of injury time.

West Ham won the FA Cup third-round tie against Leeds 2-0 at London Stadium.

For Lanzini’s goal, Bowen looked to be interfering with play and was seemingly offside as the initial shot came in.

However, VAR decided that it was fine.

Leeds chairman Radrizzani is not happy with the decision at all, as you can see from his tweet below.

Disappointing for Leeds United

In our view, Leeds are right to be aggrieved at the VAR decision, but there is nothing that they can do now.

And Marcelo Bielsa’s side had a lot of time to score the equaliser against the Hammers.

They just could not.

Now, of course, the first goal gave West Ham more confidence, but Leeds could have still done much better than they did.

Perhaps getting knocked out of the FA Cup will help Leeds concentrate more on the Premier League.
