West Ham United beat Manchester United 2-0 this afternoon.

West Ham United extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to five games today, as they beat Manchester United 2-0 at the London Stadium.
Andriy Yarmolenko’s smart finish from a deft Felipe Anderson pass set West Ham on their way, and they made it 2-0 in the second half with a stunning Aaron Cresswell free kick.
The Hammers never really let Manchester United impose themselves on the game, and shackled Marcus Rashford brilliantly with Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna.
It’s now three Premier League clean sheets in a row for West Ham, who are making real progress under Manuel Pellegrini and currently sit fifth in the Premier League table.
A number of players turned in great displays, but it was an important day for summer signing Pablo Fornals, who was making just his second Premier League start.
The Spanish midfielder came on as a substitute in Monday’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa, but was slated by fans for a disappointing showing, in which he was guilty of being wasteful.

Fornals drifted in and out of the game but grew in confidence in the second half, and whilst not everything he did on the ball worked, he certainly made sure he put in a tireless display.
After that recent criticism, supporters praised Fornals today, believing he is a future star and was ‘much better’ than his recent cameo showings, with his work rate praised as much as his skill.
