West Ham United collected a 0-0 draw with Aston Villa last night, with Manuel Pellegrini bringing Pablo Fornals off the bench late on.

West Ham United fans have criticised Pablo Fornals, after his cameo appearance for them in their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa last night.

Fornals was brought to West Ham over the summer, but he has only been used sparingly by Mauel Pellegrini so far.

The Spaniard was brought in just after the hour mark for West Ham last night, as he looked to swing the game in their favour.

However, things did not go to plan for the Hammers, as Arthur Masuaku was sent off, and Fornals had to largely play on the break.

He actually had a chance to win the game for the Hammers in the last minute, but opted to try and pass to Sebastian Haller rather than shoot.

And some West Ham fans are already concerned about Fornals’ lack of impact.

The views from some West Ham fans may be harsh, as Fornals was playing in an unfamiliar role and is still adapting to the English game.

The former Villarreal man has proven his class in La Liga, and Pellegrini will be hoping that he comes good in time.

Despite making a minimal impact, Fornals could still have a chance of starting for West Ham at the weekend as Andriy Yarmolenko struggled to make a positive impression yesterday.
