West Bromwich Albion have been listed as 6/1 favourites to sign Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain before 1 September 2017, with bookmakers Paddy Power.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium in 2018, and was recently linked with moves to Liverpool (Telegraph), Everton (Mirror) and West Ham United (Times).
West Brom’s name has not recently been associated with that of the England international, however, making their position at the top of the pile of possible destinations especially intriguing.
Liverpool (7/1), West Ham (15/2) and Everton (9/1) are the only clubs other than the Baggies with odds of shorter than 12/1 to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain, who played 90 minutes of Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
That result moved Tony Pulis’ team to within seven points of sixth-placed Arsenal, maintaining their push for a European place next season.
The Telegraph reported on Monday that Pulis is to be offered a new West Brom deal this summer, and will have transfer funds available to him by owner Guochuan Lai.
