According to The Telegraph, Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wants to force a move away from the club this summer – and Liverpool could make a move to sign him.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was billed as one of English football’s top young prospects during his time with Southampton, and much like Theo Walcott five years before him, he made the move to Arsenal.
The England international – who has 47 caps to his name – has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the Arsenal side, but has made almost 200 appearances for the Gunners.
Now though, The Telegraph report that Oxlade-Chamberlain is disillusioned with life at the Emirates Stadium due to being in and out of the side, and due to the fact that no new contract is in sight.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is now believed to be looking for a summer move away from North London, and it’s claimed that Liverpool will be one of a number of clubs interested in signing him.
The Reds will be in the market for new signings this summer having seen their title bid fall apart in 2017, and it’s vital that Klopp brings in a pacey winger who can step in for Sadio Mane on the right hand side when needed.

Oxlade-Chamberlain fits the bill perfectly, whilst his ability to play in central midfield would also come in handy, given how Klopp likes his midfielders – such as Adam Lallana and Georginio Wijnaldum – to play with energy.
Oxlade-Chamberlain brings plenty of energy, but it remains to be seen just how much Arsenal would demand for the 23-year-old with his contract expiring in 2018, and whether they would sell to a top four rival this summer.
