Dusan Vlahovic is a name that has become synonymous with Tottenham over the past few months, yet Newcastle United are now eyeing the Serie A star.

According to the Sun, the Saudi Arabia backed Premier League side are keen on the £50m-rated AFC Fiorentina striker. Spurs retain an interest in Vlahovic, however, Newcastle have the financial muscle to blow Tottenham out of the water.

Vlahovic is one of the hottest properties in European football. The Serbian international was in superb form last season with Fiorentina. And this campaign, the 21-year-old has continued his goal-scoring heroics.

The attacker already has six goals in eight Serie A games. And the likes of Atletico Madrid, Liverpool and FC Barcelona have been linked with Vlahovic over the past 12 months.

Yet it is Tottenham that have been the most heavily linked to Vlahovic, but this latest report involving Newcastle could spell trouble for Fabio Paratici’s side.

Should Harry Kane depart in January or in the summer, Vlahovic could be the perfect replacement for the England star. But, the Toon’s massive wealth could make Spurs’ pursuit of the striker pointless.
