Rangers secured three more points on Sunday afternoon but also picked up another injury

Steven Gerrard has delivered positive news on James Tavernier and Kemar Roofe’s injuries.
Tavernier in particular looked set for a long-term layoff after being taken off during Thursday’s 4-3 win for Rangers against Royal Antwerp in Belgium, but Gerrard believes both his captain and the striker should be back within three weeks.
There was less clarity on the injury sustained by Ryan Jack, who has only recently returned from a two-month layoff.
The 28-year-old was taken off after just 27 minutes against Dundee United on Sunday afternoon, and Gerrard is hopeful that the midfielder flagged the issue before it could become more severe.

In a clip shared by Radio Clyde after the game, Gerrard said: “We’re hoping he’s reported the injury before it’s become a bigger problem.
“He’s felt some tightness in the calf, but until we get a scan on it we won’t know the extent of that.
“Disappointed to see him go off because he’s come back from the previous injury really bright, and everyone knows how important he is to us, so fingers crossed the outcome of that scan’s positive rather than negative.”
On Tavernier and Roofe, he said: “James and Kemar will miss the next couple of weeks at least.
“Difficult to put an exact date of return or game to return, but they’ll certainly miss the next couple of weeks.

“All being well, we should see them in two to three weeks, all being well.”
Gerrard’s side took another step closer to the title with a 4-1 win, thanks to goals from Ianis Hagi, Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo and Alfredo Morelos.
Aribo was named Man of the Match, and Gerrard told Rangers TV: “Aribo’s is a fantastic strike.
“He’s really back now. He’s taken his time getting up to speed but his performance in midweek and his performance today, he deserves his man of the match.
“He was fantastic today, not just the goal, his running power, his quick feet, the way he outplays people and once he gets you in the box you’re in trouble because he’s got all the skills he needs.”
