Arsenal are expected to have Gabriel Magalhaes, Emile Smith Rowe and Takehiro Tomiyasu back from injury for Thursday’s League Cup match against Liverpool.
According to Football London, the Gunners trio will all be available for the club’s trip to Anfield later this week. The three players were all missing from Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
Gabriel missed the match through suspension, whilst Smith Rowe and Tomiyasu were rested for the trip up north due to muscle tightness.
The three players have asserted themselves as key players for the Gunners this season, with Smith Rowe Arsenal’s top scorer this campaign and Tomiyasu one of the signings of the summer.
With the League Cup Arsenal’s only chance of silverware this season and potentially Europe, the north London side will be relieved to have the trio back for Liverpool.
The original fixture was due to be played last week. However, Liverpool had the game postponed to this Thursday after numerous Covid-19 cases were diagnosed in the squad to the annoyance of Arsenal supporters.
Indeed, the saga infuriated Arsenal fans, which is why many on social media are buzzing to hear that Gabriel, Smith Rowe and Tomiyasu will be fit to face Liverpool.
