
Some Arsenal fans on social media are far from happy after hearing the news first bid for Sander Berge didn’t meet Sheffield United’s transfer valuation.
Arsenal have long-been linked with a move for the Norwegian midfielder, and it’s been reported that they formalised their interest this week with an opening bid.
However, that bid wasn’t accepted as it fell short of what the Blades wanted for their player, and as you can imagine, this had Arsenal fans talking.
Gunners supporters were very frustrated by this news, and to be fair, we can understand why.
Signing a midfielder from the worst team in the Premier League should be a rather straightforward procedure, especially when you’re a club of Arsenal’s stature, but it seems as though the Gunners are making a real meal of these negotiations.
With Liverpool and Man City also reportedly circling Berge, Arsenal can’t really afford to play hardball here, and the fanbase aren’t happy with the lack of ambition they seem to be showing in the transfer market.
