Steve Parish has been speaking to London News Online about the future of Wilfried Zaha, as Arsenal and Tottenham monitor the Crystal Palace forward.

What’s the story?

Well, both the Gunners and Spurs are said to be interested in the 29-year-old, with his contract set to expire in June 2023.

If Zaha doesn’t sign a new deal, this summer will be Crystal Palace’s last chance to receive a decent fee for him, and co-owner Parish has now discussed the situation.

The 56-year-old said: “We love Wilfried to bits, but that is a situation that we will discuss with him and his people. We will try and find the right answer for everybody at the right time.”

Now, it obviously sounds like Parish wants to keep the Ivory Coast international, but he is making no guarantees whatsoever.

Seeing as Zaha handed in a transfer request back in 2019, Crystal Palace fans shouldn’t be shocked if he does decide against signing a new contract.

So far this season, the Arsenal and Tottenham target has scored 12 goals in 31 appearances, while also providing two assists.

Arsenal or Tottenham could land a bargain

If either of the north Londoners sign Zaha for a cut-price fee due to his contract situation, it would be tremendous business.

The Crystal Palace No.11 has 58 Premier League goals to his name, and is regarded as one of the best forwards in the Premier League.

He would add plenty of dynamite to both Mikel Arteta and Antonio Conte’s squads, which will be needed depending on which side qualifies for the Champions League.

Of course, the south Londoners won’t make it easy having demanded £100m back in 2019, but their negotiating stance has been severely weakened by Zaha’s contract situation.
