Gareth Bale has told Sky Sports that ‘we will all have a good laugh’ at Tottenham defender Ben Davies scoring his first goal for Wales.
On what was Bale’s 100th appearance for Wales, they thrashed Belarus 5-1 in their World Cup qualifier and Tottenham’s left-back got on the scoresheet.
Bale only played 45 minutes because he was getting himself up back to fitness after a lengthy lay-off.
But at half-time, his Welsh side were leading 2-0, before they put their foot on the accelerator and added three more goals to their name in the second half.
Bale was off the pitch when Davies scored via his shoulder from a corner yesterday and he issued this response to his former Tottenham teammate scoring.
“It was good for him to get his first goal,” said Bale. “We will all have a good laugh and a cheer when all of this duty is finished.
“We know that (it came off his shoulder). But they all count. It was great for him to get his first goal and, hopefully, he can add some more.”

The new man in Tottenham’s dugout – Antonio Conte – has seemingly banned players from eating certain food times, such as ketchup and mayo.
Since then, they are unbeaten in his first two games in charge, Harry Kane netted a hat-trick for England and now Davies has scored.
Perhaps it’s a sign of things to come for this Tottenham team that has stagnated for far too long now.
Conte has used Davies as a left wing-back, but he is in competition with Sergio Reguilon, who is perhaps more favoured to play if the supporters were asked.
