West Brom fans have reacted on Twitter to Arsenal seemingly making Aaron Ramsdale their number one target.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with several goalkeepers this summer, including West Brom’s very own, Sam Johnstone.
Both players were relegated from the Premier League last season and they were also part of England’s Euro 2020 squad this summer.
But it seems as though Arsenal are going to go ‘all in’ for £30 million rated Ramsdale, rather than trying to snap up Johnstone’s talents, who is significantly cheaper than his fellow countryman.
West Brom fans would love for Johnstone to stay on board, but given that they are a Championship side now, it’s going to be pretty difficult to keep him in England’s second-tier.
Therefore, they cannot understand why the Gunners aren’t going for their man in between the sticks because they feel he is a better option than Ramsdale.
Arsenal sold Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa for £17 million and 12 months later, it seems as though they are going to pay double for a lesser-quality keeper.
That perhaps sums up those in the North London boardroom and how they conduct business.
