Conte has often given a constant stream of various emotions on the touchline since taking charge in north London. The Italian’s face can paint a thousand words for how he sees any game unfolding, from optimism, rage and a glare of disappointment during some defeats.
His tenure as Nuno Espirito Santo’s successor started strongly in November, having taken seven wins and three draws over his first 11 games. But Spurs have only won seven of his following 15 at the helm across all competitions, while enduring eight defeats.

Tottenham have also not won back-to-back games since Boxing Day, despite playing 17 times since. Conte will additionally hope to end their run of following a win with defeat when Spurs host West Ham on Sunday, having beaten Brighton on Wednesday night.
Lloris admits Tottenham stars accept ‘some moments’ cause Conte ‘frustration’
Victory at Brighton and Liverpool beating Arsenal saw Tottenham close the gap to fourth-place in the Premier League to three points. Spurs have still played a game more than the Gunners in the last of the Champions League qualifying positions, however.
With Arsenal visiting Aston Villa on Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s men could again stretch the slim margin. And a defeat for Tottenham against West Ham would no doubt draw Conte’s frustration again. But Lloris accepts Spurs are starting to understand his emotions better.

“Obviously, after four months we start to know each other well,” Lloris said. “I think he’s showing a lot of passion and he’s doing his job with a lot of emotion. At some moments, we can understand his frustration.
“The players, as well, we have this frustration, but we keep going, we keep working. Antonio and his staff provide the best from day one, and they are not the kind of people who are going to give up in any circumstances.”
Conte will have left Brighton with at least minimum levels of frustration after Tottenham comfortably clinched all three points. Spurs took control of proceedings early on and will have felt they deserved more than just their two goals scored at the Amex on Wednesday.
