According to the Daily Mail and I News, Tottenham Hotspur are keeping a close eye on Christian Eriksen’s performances for Brentford with a summer return to north London in mind.
Eriksen, of course, spent a number of years at Spurs where he became something of a hero for the Lilywhites.
He was a key player during the Mauricio Pochettino era, and while fans would probably love to see him back, one player who would be buzzing about this return is Harry Kane.
Indeed, Kane and Eriksen had an unbelievable partnership during their time together at Spurs, and the striker’s past comments on the Dane show just how much he loves to play alongside him.
What’s been said?
Kane has gone on the record to speak about Eriksen on a number of occasions.
“He is a fantastic player. I’ve been playing with him for five-six years. He is doing the best he can. You can see how much the goal meant to him,” Kane said to BBC Sport in 2019.
Meanwhile he spoke about their partnership to the Evening Standard a few years prior.
“We have an understanding around the 18-yard box about the movements we are going to make,” Kane said.
“We get on really well off the pitch too. The more chances he makes for me, the better!”

Make it happen
A reunion between Kane and Eriksen at Spurs could be on the cards, and based on the Dane’s recent performances, the midfielder would be a real asset for Spurs.
The former Spurs man has returned to the Premier League and immediately picked up where he left off. He tore Chelsea to shreds at the weekend, and his performances since joining Brentford have been truly scintillating.
He already knows Antonio Conte and he has a great partnership with Kane, so getting this deal done in the summer seems like something of a no-brainer.
