Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are aiming to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this season, and Pep Guardiola thinks that Unai Emery’s Aston Villa are in the race too.
Manchester City beat Manchester United in the Manchester derby at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Immediately after the match, City manager Pep Guardiola mentioned Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa in regard to the Premier League title race this season.
The former Barcelona boss said that he cannot control what Arsenal, Liverpool and Villa do in their matches, noting that City simply have to continue to win their games.
Pep Guardiola comments on Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa
Guardiola told BBC Sport: “It is about us. We can’t control what Liverpool or Arsenal, Aston Villa or other contenders do, it is about us. We do what we have to do to win today, next Wednesday and Sunday. This team is legendary.
“Will we do it? I don’t know. We have today more points at this stage than last season. The difference is Liverpool have I don’t know how many more points than this stage last season. When the opponent is behaving like this, what can I say, congratulations so far. We will continue to try game by game.”
My View: Manchester City are favourites for Premier League title
In my opinion, Manchester City are favourites to win the Premier League title this season.

I do not think that Aston Villa are in the race. I believe that Unai Emery’s side are competing with Tottenham Hotspur for the fourth spot in the Premier League table.
Liverpool and Arsenal are doing extremely well at the moment, and I think that the Reds and the Gunners will take the Premier League title race down to the wire.
However, City have the best team in England. With Phil Foden in sensational form, Kevin De Bruyne getting back to his best, Rodri being as consistent as ever and Erling Haaland scoring goals for fun, there is really not any weakness in this team.
City are now just a point behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table. Arsenal are four points behind them but have a game in hand
