Gary Lineker has hailed Manchester City ace Phil Foden after his superb display against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
We have come to expect seeing City run out victorious on derby day in Manchester.
City were stunned early on though as Marcus Rashford hammered home a simply stunning strike to open the scoring.
It took City a while to find the leveller but it was a screamer when it came as Phil Foden found the top corner of the net.
Foden added his second to put City in front before Erling Haaland wrapped it up with number three.
It’s another derby day victory for City, whose dominance of Manchester continues – and it may help their Premier League dominance continue too.

Gary Lineker hails Phil Foden
This was certainly Foden’s day.
Foden has shown potential for years but this feels like the season in which we have seen him develop into a real superstar.
That is now seven goals and two assists in Foden’s last eight games for City, summing up his quality.
Foden is in blistering form and has now earned praise from former England striker Gary Lineker.
The Match of the Day host has taken to social media to praise Foden’s first goal as ‘wonderful’.
Lineker added that Foden has become a ‘stunning footballer’, praising him for his development this season.
Euro 2024 is now in the horizon and Foden will be looking to nail down a starting role in Gareth Southgate’e side.
Much of the conversation recently has been around Foden versus Bukayo Saka, but what about then both playing in the England side this summer?
That would give England a top talent either side of Harry Kane, leaving European defences terrified.
United were certainly scared of Foden on Sunday afternoon and his derby day display will live long in the memory for City fans.
