Gary Lineker has said on Twitter that there will not be extended highlights of the Premier League game between Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal on MOTD after the match involving Aston Villa was called off.

Villa were due to play against Burnley at Villa Park in the Premier League today.

The match was scheduled to kick off at 3pm UK time.

However, the game has been called off due to more coronavirus cases in the Villa squad.

Leeds v Arsenal only game on MOTD

So, the only match in the Premier League that will be played today is the one between Leeds and Arsenal.

The game will be held at Elland Road and is scheduled to kick off at 5:30pm UK time on Saturday.

Now, many Leeds fans would have been hoping for extended highlights of the game on Match of the Day (MOTD) on BBC One today.

The game is live on Sky Sports Premier League.

Not everyone has Sky.

However, those Leeds who were hoping to see more of their team on MOTD will be disappointed by Lineker’s tweets.

Leeds fans will hope that Bielsa’s team will win against Arsenal and pick up all three points at Elland Road.
