Leeds United central defender Liam Cooper will not play again this year, according to The Athletic.
Liam Cooper blow for Leeds
It has been reported by journalist Phil Hay in The Athletic that Cooper will not be back in action until the New Year.
This means that the Scotland international centre-back will not play again for Leeds in 2021.
Cooper suffered a hamstring injury against Brentford earlier this month and did not play against Chelsea and Manchester City.
Robin Koch’s return
Now, Cooper’s injury is a blow for Leeds.
The Scotland international is a leader at the back, and he is being missed.
However, Koch is now back.
Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has said that the Germany international is available for the match against Arsenal at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

We should expect Koch to hit the ground running, though.
After all, the defender has not played since the opening game of the season against Manchester United.
However, Koch is a very good and experienced defender who will make Leeds better at the back.
Koch can also play in midfield, and that could come in handy as well for Bielsa.
