Liam Rosenior’s perfect Premier League record as Chelsea manager came to an end in unfortunate fashion against Leeds United.
The Blues were two goals up early in the second half, but defensive errors from Moises Caicedo and Josh Acheampong let Leeds back into the match.
Rosenior said his side was unlucky, especially after Cole Palmer missed a late chance he’d normally expect to score.
Even though this was the first time Chelsea had dropped points under his leadership, some fans still found reasons to criticise him.
Liam Rosenior’s critics are out of line, says Wayne Rooney

It’s usually Rosenior’s approach in press conferences that comes under fire, but this particular aspect has drawn criticism from Wayne Rooney.
Rooney, who shared time with Rosenior at Derby County, spoke highly of him as a coach and called the recent criticism “sad and unfair.”
He told The Tippy Tappy Podcast: “Liam’s a fantastic young coach, thinks about the game a lot. And he’s got a big opportunity. I think what’s really sad and unfair in what I’m seeing is, I think he’s won seven out of nine games.
“He’s lost to Arsenal twice, who are top team. And the abuse he’s getting, the stick he’s getting, is ridiculous.”
Rosenior’s Chelsea tenure off to a promising start
Liam Rosenior remains unbeaten in the Champions League, and has also done well in the Premier League, winning seven out of 10 matches.
He is already getting the best out of some of his most important players, which is always a positive sign for any new manager.
Palmer has had five goal contributions in his last two matches, and now looks closer to top form at a crucial point in Chelsea’s season.
Rosenior seems to be building good chemistry with Joao Pedro as well. The striker has contributed to a goal in every league match since the manager took over.
